Grocery Sales Associate

Location 431DublinPike Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Keep the Grocery department well stocked, organized, and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Build displays to drive incremental sales. Stocks and rotates merchandise to ensure freshness. Keep product within easy customer reach. Store excess merchandise according to backroom organization guidelines. Smile and greet customers, answer customer questions, and promptly resolve customer concerns in a polite and professional manner. Apply proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located on shelves, in saleable condition, with correct prices and signs. Assist with receiving, unloading, checking‑in, breaking‑down, and storing deliveries through operation of power jack or hand jack (training provided). Handle damaged or discontinued items according to company policy. Remove product that cannot be sold. Take responsibility for general sanitation in the department. Follow cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure that work areas, equipment, counters, and display cases are well maintained, clean, and meet all health and OSHA requirements. Dispose of trash properly. Maintain productivity standards, work methods and standards, and shrink control. Comply with security regulations and policies. Put out stock at an acceptable rate as determined by company standards. Assist with baling cardboard or other related duties (training provided). Ensure smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co‑workers and supervisors. Continuously improve job performance. Utilize all company‑provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut‑resistant gloves, safety cutters, company‑supplied footwear, etc. Assist in other departments as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualification Requirements Completed or working toward a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.
