About The Opportunity

UPMC’s Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) seeks a full-time, interventional cardiologist to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will enjoy a clinical academic appointment and provide interventional services at its UPMC Jameson location. HVI at UPMC Jameson, in collaboration with its Pittsburgh interventional colleagues, provides 24/7 STEMI coverage. Procedures include diagnostic and interventional heart catheterisations, TEE’s, cardioversions, temporary and permanent pacemakers, Intra‑aortic Balloon Pumps as well as peripheral angiogram and intervention by vascular surgery. HVI's service at UPMC Jameson, and nearby UPMC Horizon, together are comprised of 4 full‑time cardiologists currently (2 interventionalists with 2 non‑invasive cardiologists now & growing to 6 combined) as well as 10 APPs serving two suburban areas near Pittsburgh. In addition to these full‑time providers, there are part‑time services provided by 4 Electrophysiologists (including pacemaker clinic), a Heart Failure specialist, 3 vascular surgeons, 1 thoracic surgeon, and 1 cardiothoracic surgeon. HVI’s outpatient office in New Castle is located inside UPMC Jameson, as are a full range of diagnostic services including 2 cath labs. HVI Horizon‑Greenville is located within UPMC Horizon Greenville, and HVI Horizon‑Shenango is located across the street from UPMC Horizon Shenango.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Cardiology.
• Valid Pennsylvania medical licence.
• Proven experience in interventional cardiology practices.
