Job Title Registrar – Atrium Health Patient Access – Shelby PT Position Details Department: 13504 Enterprise Revenue Cycle – Cleveland NC Patient and Family Services Employment Type: Part time Hourly Pay Range: $20.80 - $31.20 Job Summary Receives and provides information to patients, significant others, healthcare team members and hospital guests in a courteous and professional manner. Provides an accurate and timely registration process to the patient population. Essential Functions Greets and assists customers, patients, and visitors and acts with urgency when dealing with patients and workflow. Verifies that all patients have orders with diagnosis and referring physician information, including a legible physician signature. Performs point‑of‑service collections in a professional manner. Acts and communicates professionally, appropriate for the healthcare setting. Assumes responsibility for ensuring the waiting area is clean and orderly. Identifies patients using two forms of identification; places armbands on all patients, explains the process, and assists with undressing as needed. Responds to emergencies in the department following established protocols. Assists in meeting departmental goals for point‑of‑service collections and registration accuracy. Physical Requirements Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment, concentrate with constant interruptions, and sit, stand, walk, push, pull, and moderate lift patients. Education, Experience, and Certifications High School Diploma or GED required.
