Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join the operating room team in a Level I Trauma Center. This role involves independently circulating, scrubbing, and taking call for a diverse range of complex surgical cases across multiple service lines.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate independently during surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and workflow.
• Scrub in for various surgeries, maintaining sterile technique and supporting the surgical team.
• Take and respond to call, including standby hours, following a 20-30 hour per 4-week period requirement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across orthopedic, neuro, bariatric, ENT, ophthalmology, and trauma services.
• Adhere to OR equipment standards and protocols, including use of Xi Robotics and specialized surgical tools.
• Complete unit-specific orientation, including EPIC training, to ensure readiness for all procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Proven ability to independently circulate in a fast-paced, trauma-level surgical environment.
• Strong experience with orthopedic, neuro, trauma, or specialized surgical cases preferred.
• Ability to scrub in and assist during complex surgeries, with knowledge of OR equipment and protocols.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour or 8-hour shifts, with availability for weekend and holiday call.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for a multidisciplinary setting.
