Balade, a busy Lebanese restaurant in the East Village, is looking for an experienced Bartender / Server / Host to join our front-of-house team.

This is a hands-on, multi-role position. Depending on the shift and business needs, you may be bartending, serving tables, or hosting.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing, professional, organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant.

Responsibilities:

• Bartend, serve tables, and host depending on the needs of the shift
• Welcome and seat guests professionally and efficiently
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and the waitlist
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Prepare cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages
• Maintain strong knowledge of the food and beverage menu
• Make recommendations and upsell when appropriate
• Manage a busy section while maintaining attentive service
• Run food and drinks and assist other team members when needed
• Communicate closely with the kitchen, runners, bussers, and management
• Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries and reservations
• Keep the bar, host stand, dining room, and service areas clean and organized
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities

Requirements:

• Previous NYC full-service restaurant experience preferred
• Bartending and serving experience required
• Comfortable working the host stand and interacting with guests
• Strong communication and hospitality skills
• Able to multitask and remain organized during busy service
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Available evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of Lebanese or Mediterranean cuisine is a plus

We operate as a team, and everyone is expected to help where needed. We are looking for someone who is flexible and equally comfortable behind the bar, on the floor, or welcoming guests at the door.

Compensation: Hourly ($11.35 - $12.00) plus tips
