VP of Human Resources (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Human Resources to lead and scale our people strategy across our brand portfolio. This role will manage and mentor a team of HR Business Partners who support all brands, while also serving as a key architect of HR processes, policies, and change initiatives as the organization continues to grow. The VP of HR will balance strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, partnering closely with executive leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and a strong, consistent people experience across brands. This role can be hybrid in our Salt Lake City office or in our Los Angeles office with a hybrid schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite. Key Responsibilities HR Leadership & Business Partnership Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Business Partners who support all brands and functions across the organization Ensure HRBP alignment, consistency, and high-quality service delivery across a multi‑brand environment Serve as a strategic advisor to executive and senior leadership on people strategy, workforce planning, and organizational design Process, Policy & Infrastructure Development Design, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, programs, and processes to support a scalable, compliant, and high‑performing organization Establish consistent people practices while respecting individual brand identities and business needs Ensure policies align with employment laws, best practices, and company values Change Management & Organizational Effectiveness Lead and support change management initiatives related to growth, restructuring, system implementations, and evolving business priorities Partner with leaders to drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and culture initiatives during periods of change Employee Relations & Risk Management Oversee complex employee relations matters, investigations, and performance issues Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all brands Partner with Legal and leadership to mitigate risk and maintain strong governance Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Partnership Work closely with Talent, Payroll, L&D, Finance, and Operations to ensure an integrated people strategy Use data and insights to inform decision‑making and continuously improve HR effectiveness Qualifications 10‑15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience leading HR Business Partners in a multi‑brand or multi‑entity organization Experience in retail, beauty (hair, nails, cosmetics, fashion, fragrance etc.) consumer brands, or fast-growth environments strongly preferred Experience working at start‑ups or small scrappy organizations, balancing strategy and execution Demonstrated success building, implementing, and scaling HR processes, policies, and infrastructure in growing organizations Strong experience leading change management initiatives and driving adoption across diverse stakeholder groups Deep knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices Proven ability to operate strategically while remaining hands‑on when needed Excellent leadership, communication, and influence skills, with the ability to partner effectively at the executive level Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity in evolving organizations Base pay of $200,000 annually with an additional 20% annual bonus 401(k) with company match – $ for $ up to 4% – immediately vested Life and AD&D Insurance Opportunities for growth and advancement And so much more!
