Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Title: RN - CVICU Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Contract: 13 weeks Schedule: 3x12 Nights - No Call - Weekends Required - ONLY 1 MAJOR HOLIDAY OFF PER CONTRACT Requirements: 2 years of RN - CVICU experience -Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). -American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent. -AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent is required. -CVICU RN travelers who are trained on Balloon pump and Impella devices to work TICU. These travelers will be needed until we successfully train enough TICU staff on the devices to support the need.​ The TICU is currently official overflow for CVICU patients.The cardiac travelers will be utilized as support for staff on NOCs and may be needed to manage a device. Job Title: RN - CVICU Location: Wisconsin Contract Length: Until sufficient TICU staff are trained on Balloon pump and Impella devices Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This role requires competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population. The RN will support TICU staff, manage devices such as Balloon pump and Impella, and provide overflow care for CVICU patients. Required Qualifications: Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through education at an accredited School of Nursing. Associate's degree in nursing. Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.
