Title: Framing Construction Crew Leader

Location: Field, FL

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: ODC Construction is seeking a Framing Construction Crew Leader to lead and manage a team of framing professionals on-site. This role is essential in ensuring the successful completion of framing projects, meeting quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on framing experience, and the ability to motivate and direct a crew to achieve optimal results.

Reports to: Director of Construction

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Lead and manage the daily activities of the framing crew to ensure efficient, safe, and quality-driven construction work.

• Oversee the execution of framing tasks, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines.

• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure each team member understands their responsibilities.

• Monitor crew performance and provide guidance and support to improve skills and productivity.

• Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure the team adheres to OSHA and company safety standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues to keep the project on schedule and within budget.

• Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with overall project goals.

• Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets company and regulatory standards.

• Maintain communication with the project manager regarding crew progress, material needs, and potential delays.

• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials, promoting efficiency and minimizing waste.

• Foster a positive, cooperative work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

• Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs., with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
