About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Facilities to lead a comprehensive facilities organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for campus operations, maintenance, capital project management, sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure planning. This role requires strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the physical infrastructure supports the institution's mission and long-term goals. Key responsibilities include providing direction for the Facilities Services department, developing and implementing long-term operational strategies, and monitoring operations for efficiency and service delivery. The AVP will also be involved in the design, renovation, and construction of campus facilities, as well as managing a significant budget and fostering a culture of teamwork and service excellence. Applicants for the Associate Vice President of Facilities position at the company should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a master's degree, and a minimum of ten years' progressive leadership experience in facilities management. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, architecture, or construction science, and possess strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills. Experience in a higher education environment and relevant professional certifications are also preferred. The role demands a leader who is a strong communicator, a collaborative problem-solver, and is committed to the values of the institution, including sustainability and responsible resource management. The candidate should be prepared to engage with the campus community, build relationships, and ensure the beauty and functionality of the campus are maintained to enhance the student experience.
