Job Description
Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Profession: Surgical Tech
Specialty: Ortho/Neuro/Spine/Davinci
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Rotating shifts including days and evenings
Hours per Shift: 8 and 12 hours
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the Operating Room with a focus on Ortho, Neuro, Trauma, and Robotics
License: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology program, completion of a Registered Nurse program, or completion of a summer surgical tech extern program; High School Diploma or Equivalent with two years of previous scrub experience
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)


Must-Have:
Strong experience in orthopedic procedures, including total knee and hip replacements.
Expertise in neuro procedures, trauma, and robotics (DaVinci system) is required.
Average case load of 80-120 cases per day.
Must have 2 years of experience in a Level I Trauma center.
Availability for rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, is necessary.
8-12 hours of on-call weekly may be required with a 30-minute response time.


Description:
This role involves providing surgical support in an Operating Room setting.
The Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures.
Strong familiarity with robotic surgical assistance is a requirement.
Experience with ambulatory cases is a bonus.
This position will involve working with various service lines including orthopedic, neuro, bariatric, ENT, and ophthalmology.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to adapt to a dynamic surgical environment.
Responsibility for maintaining sterility and managing surgical instruments is essential.
Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is integral to the role.
Attention to patient safety and quality care is a top priority.
