Software Engineer C# WPF

Salary: $103,000 - 143,000 per year Requirements:

• Strong C# and .NET experience on modern Windows versions
• Production WPF experience, including XAML, data binding, custom controls, and styles/themes
• Solid understanding of MVVM, including INotifyPropertyChanged, commands, and converters
• UX design skills with Figma, including wireframing, prototyping, component libraries, and design-to-code handoff
• Unix experience, specifically Debian, including command line use, package management, and system administration
• Experience with multithreading and async programming, with disciplined UI-thread handling such as dispatcher and background workers
• Git-based workflow experience, including branching, pull requests, and merge conflict resolution
• Windows 11 administration and deployment experience
• BASH scripting experience
• SSH and RDP experience for remote access and administration
• General networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, and troubleshooting
• Exposure to C++, C, Python, HTML, and CSS is preferred
• Experience with YAML and Properties configuration files is preferred
• GIS charts experience is preferred
• Real-time, telemetry, or control-system experience is preferred
• GIS or mapping runtime experience is preferred
• Experience with ZeroMQ or similar messaging systems is preferred
• Video streaming experience, such as LibVLC or similar, is preferred
• Embedded web experience, such as WebView2, is preferred
• Game controller or HID input experience is preferred
• Structured logging experience is preferred
• Localization or multi-culture UI experience is preferred
• Maritime, defense, or unmanned-systems domain knowledge is preferred

• Design and develop WPF user interfaces using the MVVM pattern
• Prototype and refine UI/UX workflows in Figma before development, then convert approved designs into accurate XAML
• Build real-time telemetry visualizations such as gauges, radar views, maps, and video panels
• Implement network messaging over ZeroMQ for telemetry, heartbeat, and mission or waypoint updates
• Integrate mapping and GIS capabilities, including online maps, offline map packages, and encrypted charts
• Support multiple control inputs, including game controllers, keyboards, and touch input
• Tune performance for x64 systems through background threading, batched UI refreshes, and low-latency rendering
• Maintain clean, dense, and readable code across the application

We are building and maintaining a C#/WPF desktop application for real-time monitoring and control of unmanned surface vehicles. The system supports live telemetry, mission planning, mapping, video streaming, and multi-vehicle fleet management. This is a hybrid remote role based in Melbourne, FL 32934.
