Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout CORE|EPCCORE|EPC is an engineering and design firm serving industrial and manufacturing clients across the Southeast. We deliver structural, mechanical, electrical, and piping design, backed by in-house laser scanning. Our projects are hands-on and built for real plants: retrofits, process upgrades, HVAC and utility systems, and new equipment installations in operating facilities.The RoleWe're hiring a piping designer to design and model mechanical systems for industrial projects. This is an early-career position; you'll do the calculations, make the design decisions, and build the 3D model that carries customers through to construction drawings. You'll work directly with our PEs and project leads, and get exposure to a wide range of plant systems from day one.What You'll DoDesign mechanical systems for industrial facilities: HVAC, process piping, compressed air, steam, and plant utilitiesBuild 3D models and construction drawings in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and NavisworksWork from laser-scan point clouds of existing plants to design around real conditionsPerform equipment sizing, load and flow calculations, and pipe/duct routingCoordinate with structural, electrical, and process disciplines to resolve clashes before they reach the fieldConduct field verification and as-built walkdowns at client sitesPrepare specifications, equipment schedules, and bills of materialWhat We're Looking ForAs little as 1 year of experience; internships and co-ops count!Proficiency in Plant 3D or CADworx (required), AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks a plusBackground in either HVAC OR process piping design *you don't need both*Ability to read P&IDs, equipment drawings, and vendor dataComfortable in operating plants: PPE, walkdowns, and occasional travel to client sitesSelf-directed, detail-oriented, and able to juggle several projects at onceNice to HaveFamiliarity with piping and water systemsWhy CORE|EPCSmall, senior team with direct mentorship from licensed engineersA clear path to PE licensure and toward Mechanical Engineer II and project lead rolesReal variety: no two plants or projects are the sameBenefits: health, 401(k), PTO, etc.\nCompany DescriptionCore|EPC is a leading engineering firm based near the Northeast Atlanta, GA area, specializing in delivering innovative solutions for diverse industries, including commercial buildings, chemical processing, manufacturing, commercial buildings, and power generation.Company DescriptionCore|EPC is a leading engineering firm based near the Northeast Atlanta, GA area, specializing in delivering innovative solutions for diverse industries, including commercial buildings, chemical processing, manufacturing, commercial buildings, and power generation.
