Cardiac Cath Lab Tech | Gary, Indiana

A specialized role in cardiac catheterization technology is available on a contract basis at a prominent healthcare facility in Gary, Indiana. This position focuses on delivering expert imaging support within a high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab environment, maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio for both inpatient and outpatient cases, including emergent situations.


Position Details:

• Location: Gary, IN (Dyer unit with possible float to Munster Cath Lab)
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours weekly • Option 1: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. • Option 2: Four 10-hour days from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Weekend and holiday on-call coverage required

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures using specialized imaging equipment.
• Operate and maintain cath lab machinery proficiently, supporting patient care activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Document procedures accurately within the EMR system (EPIC Cupid).
• Participate in ongoing orientation and training modules to uphold clinical competencies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 to 3 years experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician.
• Valid Radiologic Technologist State Licensure and ARRT certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure clinical settings.
