Information Systems Technology Adjunct

Job Title: Information Systems Technology Adjunct – FLSA Exempt. Sensitive Position. No Job Description. Work Location: Chesterfield – 041. Hiring Range: $793 – $1,693 per credit hour. Employment: Part Time. Agency: Brightpoint Community College. General Information Adjunct faculty teaching is limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester. These limits are for total number of credit hours taught in the Virginia’s Community Colleges (VCCS). Additional restrictions may apply depending on other positions occupied within VCCS. Responsibilities Teach daytime, evening, and/or online sections of information technology courses. Must be able to teach on campus classes on the Chester and/or Midlothian campus during daytime hours. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. Qualifications Minimum of a master’s degree in information systems technology or a computer-related field, OR a master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate semester hours of information systems technology or computer-related field coursework. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check. Additional Considerations Two years of related occupational experience. Two years of teaching experience.
