POSITION SUMMARY
The mechanical engineer position plans and designs product applications and assembles project teams. The position is responsible for organizing highly complex activities for the design, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Transition products from product development to production.
- Oversee manufacture of products and process optimization.
- Interface with customers.
AUTHORITIES
- Notify management of any potential discrepancies in product quality, design, or other engineering functions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
