Job Description
The Dump Truck Driver plays a vital role in transporting materials safely and efficiently on daily local routes. Operating manual dump trucks, the driver is responsible for following planned routes, securing loads, and maintaining vehicle safety. Working under the supervision of a fleet manager, this position offers opportunities for overtime and skill development within the transportation team.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual dump trucks to transport materials on daily local routes
- Plan and follow efficient routes ensuring timely delivery
- Secure loads properly to ensure safety during transport
- Conduct vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in operating manual dump trucks
- Adherence to safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently
- Skill in securing loads safely
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Strong time management capabilities
- Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of truck driving experience
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles
