Contract Specialist

The Contract Specialist will support AWS Professional Services and AWS Legal by operationalizing the contract creation process for Statements of Work (SOWs) and related contracting structures. This role combines elements of business operations analysis with contract analysis, working closely with AWS Legal to draft SOWs that meet legal requirements and providing operational and administrative guidance to AWS Professional Services so they can deliver an outstanding customer experience. This position may be based in AWS offices in Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; or Arlington, VA. Key Job Responsibilities Own the SOW process, drafting and reviewing SOWs to ensure alignment with business and legal requirements, gathering approvals, tracking status, and communicating with key stakeholders. Proactively identify and implement operational improvements and enhancements that meet business requirements. Communicate daily with cross‑functional teams including Sales, Legal, Operations, and Management on assigned deals. Recruit, onboard, train and influence other Contract Specialists. Create and maintain standard operating procedures. Drive continuous process improvement while developing long‑term solutions and cultivating relationships. Become the SOW creation subject‑matter expert. Basic Qualifications Experience reviewing and drafting contract terms in technology licensing and service contracts, or a broad range of standard commercial contracts. Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and Charts). Preferred Qualifications Experience working within a high‑growth technology company. Experience in complex problem‑solving and working in a tight schedule environment. Experience working effectively across cross‑functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels of an organization. 2+ years of Salesforce experience. Strong written and oral communication skills.
