Our client is currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Paraeducator - Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year!
Hours : 8:50am-3:50pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break) Job Type: Contract until the end of the school year This job will have the following responsibilities:

- Provide instruction to individuals in cognitive, motor skills, feeding, self-help, and behavior control as directed by the teacher.
- Assist the teacher in maintaining the health and safety of physically handicapped students.
- Assist students with personal hygiene, including washing hands and faces, toileting, and changing diapers/clothing.
- Monitor and control student behavior following established guidelines.
- Assist specialists with physical development activities.
- Prepare students for mainstreamed classes according to established procedures.
- Attend training and in-services related to medical interventions and instructional programs.
- Assist students with braces and orthopedic equipment, including lifting and repositioning.
- Maintain records related to student progress.
- Implement positive behavior intervention support policies.
- Collaborate with case workers, general education teachers, and other staff.
- Assist students in social interactions.
- Work cooperatively with others and independently as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- TB test clearance
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance
- Own, reliable form of transportation (car)
- Must have experience with children, students, caregiving of any age, or behavioral health
