Our organization is excited to announce an opportunity for exceptional Intensivists to become part of our Cardiothoracic ICU team located in Long Island!

We are looking for skilled Intensivists to join our Critical Care team within the Cardiovascular Surgery Program at Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, NY. This emerging program is eager to welcome dynamic and insightful Intensivists who are committed to teamwork, quality patient outcomes, education, and research. Candidates must have completed a Critical Care fellowship, and experience managing critically ill cardiac and cardiothoracic patients is highly valued. Proficiency in standard intensive care procedures, such as central line and S-G catheter placements, is required. The role involves overseeing patients both pre- and post-cardiothoracic surgeries, as well as after complex cardiac interventions. The Intensivist will collaborate with a team of Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, residents, and fellows, with shifts that include days, evenings, and weekends.

Applicants should be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine. We also encourage physicians interested in balancing their focus between Critical Care and a primary specialty (e.g., Anesthesiology, Surgery, Medicine) to apply.

This position includes an academic appointment in the candidate's primary specialty, along with a cross appointment in the Institute for Critical Care Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine. Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Valid New York State Medical License
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine

• Ability to collaborate respectfully and build relationships with team members

The compensation for this role ranges from $358,000 to $426,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).

Our organization provides a salary range in compliance with New York City’s Salary Transparency law. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, collections, and community needs. Therefore, the final salary may be closer to either end of the range, and in some cases, may fall outside the listed range. The stated salary range is applicable for full-time positions and does not encompass bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits.
