Med/Surg Tele RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Location

Cleveland, OH

Schedule

This role includes both Night and Day shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week. The schedule is as follows:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele RN will provide nursing care for patients on the medical-surgical telemetry unit, with potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and ED as necessary. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement patient care plans.
• Provide patient and family education on disease management and discharge planning.
• Utilize telemetry to monitor patients' cardiac status.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 18 months of combined permanent experience as a Med/Surg or Telemetry RN.
• 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.
• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• One reference from a supervisor or manager in the specialty applied for must be provided.
