As an Equipment Operator A, you will perform the following duties:Vehicle Operation: Operate single chassis vehicles and equipment for transporting personnel, hauling materials, and supporting maintenance activitiesRoad and Trail Work: Operate equipment to build, modify, and rebuild roads, trails, and target range layoutsConstruction Activities: Perform demolition of structurally deficient buildings, complete drainage improvements, conduct underground utility work, and assist with airfield construction and maintenanceSpecialized Operations: Perform hydro-excavating for utility locating and support biosolid spreading across assigned areasEquipment Operation: Operate military and civilian equipment with a gross vehicle weight between 10,001 and 32,000 pounds or more to support construction and maintenance needsTechnical Maintenance: Assist mechanics, perform minor equipment repairs, and carry out preventative maintenance on assigned machinerySafety and Communication: Follow proper safety procedures, use required protective gear, and maintain proper radio communication with airfield and range controlInterested in learning more? Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.Special Requirement:You must possess a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.Additional Requirements:You must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) permit at the time of hire.
