Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3x12-Hour Evening Shifts (15:00–03:30) | Intermittent Weekend Coverage | No On-Call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a Level I or II trauma environment
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and administer blood products as indicated
• Administer IV vasopressors and manage ventilated patients
• Deliver care across a high-acuity emergency department setting, floating within the hospital when needed
• Provide coverage for 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays as required
• Complete required orientation modules and maintain all required certifications throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN License (required at time of submission)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and PALS (required at time of submittal)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience; 18 months may be considered for candidates coming from a like facility
• Experience in a Level I or II trauma setting
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Any candidate who has been a permanent employee at this facility must have been separated for at least 6 months prior to placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification
• TNCC certification
• Two supervisor references preferred
• Experience as a first-time traveler is welcome
