Persistent Chat EngineerJob#: 3055917Job Description:System EngineerLocation: Charlotte, North Carolina (On-site)Role OverviewThis position is for a Persistent Chat Engineer to support the Enterprise Legal Hold Retention Solution project. The role involves managing the product lifecycle for persistent chat applications, developing and deploying solutions, and ensuring all technical documentation is accurate and complete. The engineer will liaise with various teams including Security, Operations, Product, and Engineering to deliver and maintain robust chat services.Key ResponsibilitiesLiaise with Security, Operations, Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Vendors to manage product lifecycle, fixes, features, and enhancements.Manage workbooks through Product JIRAs.Develop low-level designs to meet organizational requirements and security demands.Deploy low-level environments for chat applications.Develop documentation and host training sessions to support the transition of new services into operations.Perform advanced product testing to ensure functionality and performance.Maintain continual ownership for the accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation.Participate in the review of requirements for technical feasibility and represent technical requirements for new service deployments.Engage in regular requirements meetings to groom the backlog and agree on feature releases.Ensure all non-strategic social and chat products are decommissioned from the enterprise.Required QualificationsExperience:Proven experience in Enterprise Level Engineering, preferably within financial institutions.Experience with persistent chat applications such as Mattermost or Rocket Chat hosted on Linux.Extensive experience with cloud-enabled Instant Messaging platforms (e.g., Symphony, Teams, Slack).Experience with the deployment of applications to Mobility frameworks including MAM and MDM.Technical Skills:Proficiency with Agile tools, specifically Jira.Exceptional documentation and problem-solving skills.Professional Attributes:A team player with the ability to have individual accountability for deliverables.A clear and unambiguous communicator who is methodical, disciplined, confident, and a critical thinker.Proficient in proactively identifying, mitigating, and resolving risk.Preferred QualificationsRed Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification.MySQL DBA/Development experience.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
