Within this system, the West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute's Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery is recruiting a board certified/eligible cardiothoracic surgeon (ranks available: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) with a specialty interest in Adult Cardiac Surgery. The primary practice location is Wheeling, WV, with possible travel to West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Responsibilities Practice in the area of cardiothoracic surgery, providing excellent patient care. Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligibility for state medical license. Completed a general surgery residency program and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program. Board eligible or certified in cardiothoracic surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
