Senior Manager, Distribution Operations

Position Summary The Senior Manager, Distribution Operations is a traveling leader who provides short‑term site leadership to vacant or underperforming distribution centers. This collaborative, results‑driven role supports distribution center performance across key KPIs and serves as a supply chain process subject‑matter expert for distribution and wholesale leaders. Job Responsibilities Supports all elements of distribution center operations, including inventory management & control, route management, and cost controls. Conducts operational audits to ensure standard operating procedures and policies are consistently applied, achieves operational performance indicators, and champions safety initiatives. Ensures facilities, equipment, and vehicles are maintained, providing tools that support safe, efficient, and fiscally responsible operation. Monitors, reports, and supports management of labor, delivery, and other variable costs associated with distribution centers. Additional Responsibilities Protect company assets, including inventory, equipment, and facilities. Communicates change effectively, prepares change plans, and mitigates confusion, resistance, and conflict. Analyzes data and trends using spreadsheets and reporting to address underperformance. Collaborates with wholesale and franchise sales teams to meet service level agreements and identify opportunities for improved customer service. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to achieve operational goals. Leads implementation of technology, cost containment, inventory management, safety, training, and engagement initiatives. Partners with field leadership to recruit personnel, balancing resources with strategic goals. Travels up to 75%. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Preferred: 4‑year degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience in warehouse distribution or transportation. Demonstrated management experience, including leadership, motivation, time management, organization, training, coaching, and counseling. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of Lean methodology and proven success driving change. Safety‑first mentality. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively while bending and twisting. Current driver’s license required. Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends as needed. 24/7 access to cell phone, email, and security system in case of emergency. Experience with ERP system and routing software is a plus. High level of professional integrity. Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
