Staff Accountant - (Rotational Position)

Job Summary Compensation: $72,000 - $80,000 The Staff Accountant plays a pivotal role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Responsibilities Financial Records and Reporting: Scrutinize accounting records, financial statements, and reports to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards, review transactional activity, ensuring accurate coding, and maintaining financial reporting integrity, prepare documentation for annual external audits. General Ledger Management: Prepare precise general ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of our financial data, navigate complex workflows to ensure accurate General Ledger entries, assist with month-end close processes by reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts. Tax Compliance: Conduct meticulous sales and use tax analysis, ensuring timely compliance through our tax software. Manage annual property tax filings efficiently. Additional Contributions: Contribute to other initiatives beneficial to IDI. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Analytical Skills: Work with detailed information while identifying underlying issues and improvement opportunities. Interpersonal Skills: Able to work independently and with others to contribute to team goals; confidence to ask questions and get clarification; display a positive attitude and have a strong work ethic. Ethical Standards: Must maintain high ethical standards and meet confidentiality requirements to ensure the security and privacy of financial data. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; 1-3 years accounting experience; sales & use tax experience preferred; knowledge of Avalara tax compliance software preferred; SAP background preferred.
