About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Labor Relations to take on a high-impact leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's collective bargaining strategy, overseeing the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, and managing a large, nationwide department of labor relations professionals. This role requires a hands-on, business-oriented leader with a minimum of ten years' experience in negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements, including first chair experience in negotiations, labor arbitrations, and grievance proceedings. The Vice President will also be tasked with building and maintaining relationships with key labor organizations, external representatives, and senior leadership to ensure the alignment of talent strategy with business results. Applicants for the Vice President of Labor Relations position at the company should have a law or related degree, with a preference for a Master's in Labor Relations. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record of partnership with senior leadership on business performance, particularly in a publicly traded or large, complex company environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at counseling managers and employees on the interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements, as well as labor and regulatory laws. This is a highly visible, strategic position that requires the ability to proactively address and resolve workplace issues, and to implement effective workplace practices in collaboration with operations and union leadership.
