Job Summary The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant provides speech language therapy services to clinic patients under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). Pay Range Minimum $48.00 Midpoint $48.00 Maximum $49.00 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience • Required: None required. Education • Required: Associate degree in Speech Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an accredited program. Training • Required: None required. Specialized Skills • Required: Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently. • Preferred: Conversational fluency in sign language or a second language, particularly Spanish or Vietnamese. Licensure • Required: California license as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant; Basic Life Support (BLS).
