Senior Accountant

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our remote finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing general ledger activities, assisting with monthly closings, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reports Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Maintain and analyze the general ledger and supporting schedules Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts Manage and enter accounts payable invoicing Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries Help improve and document internal accounting processes and controls Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to support financial operations Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero) and Excel High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications CPA certification or progress toward CPA a plus Experience with remote work tools (e.g., Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Slack) Prior experience in an accounting firm working with multiple clients What We Offer Competitive salary ($60,000–$70,000/year) Fully remote work environment Health insurance reimbursement Home office/telephone allowance Unlimited paid time off and holidays Opportunities for professional development and growth Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
