Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking an experienced pharmacist for a contract position working evening shifts in a fast-paced long-term care (LTC) pharmacy. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with a Tennessee pharmacy license looking to contribute to a busy pharmacy processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
- Required availability during the first week of the assignment for daytime training
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform duties primarily in the fulfillment area, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in prescription processing
- Manage prescription dispensing and medication reviews tailored to long-term care patients
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain regulatory compliance and optimal workflow
- Support specialty pharmacy operations, enhancing patient care
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear Tennessee pharmacist license is mandatory
- Experience in specialty pharmacy is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
- Flexibility to complete initial daytime training during the first week
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to patient safety
