Eddyfi Technologies currently has 13 centers of excellence and sales offices around the world, all staffed exclusively by non-destructive testing experts.We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Sales Manager, Rail – North America to lead profitable revenue growth within the rail sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned business development and technical sales professional with strong rail industry knowledge, an established network, and a proven ability to win new business.The Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding market presence through new customer acquisition, strategic account development, and territory growth. With a strong hunter mentality, this individual will build influential relationships, identify untapped opportunities, and position Eddyfi's Remote Monitoring Solutions (RMS) products, software, and services to solve customer challenges and create long-term value.This role owns the full commercial cycle—from prospecting and opportunity development through negotiation, closing, and account expansion. Success will be measured primarily by incremental revenue generation and market penetration.We encourage candidates to apply even if they do not meet every requirement listed, as we recognise that skills and experience can be gained in many ways.As Sales Manager, you must be able to:Business Development & New Customer AcquisitionIdentify, pursue, and secure new customers, markets, and revenue opportunities within the rail industry.Develop and execute customer acquisition strategies to expand market presence.Leverage existing industry relationships to engage key stakeholders and advance opportunities in high-potential accounts.Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through disciplined prospecting and lead generation.Establish trusted partnerships with senior industry leaders and strategic customers.Sales Execution & Revenue GrowthOwn and deliver revenue growth objectives, with a strong focus on new business development.Manage the full sales cycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.Develop compelling value propositions that highlight the technical and commercial benefits of Eddyfi's solutions.Identify opportunities to displace competitors, introduce new technologies, and increase market share.Negotiate profitable commercial agreements and accelerate deal conversion.Territory Planning & Market DevelopmentDevelop and execute strategic territory plans aligned with revenue and customer acquisition goals.Identify underserved markets, emerging applications, and high-potential customer segments.Monitor market trends, customer priorities, and competitive activity to uncover growth opportunities.Provide market intelligence and customer insights to Sales Leadership and Product Management.Strategic Account DevelopmentExpand existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and increased portfolio penetration.Build relationships across multiple stakeholders, business units, and customer locations.Anticipate future opportunities by understanding customer business goals and technology roadmaps.Strengthen long-term customer relationships and maximize account potential.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Marketing, Product Management, and technical teams to support business development initiatives.Work with internal stakeholders to develop differentiated, customer-focused solutions.Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure strong commercial execution.Contribute to broader sales strategies that support sustainable growth.Pipeline Management & Commercial DisciplineMaintain a qualified pipeline sufficient to achieve revenue and growth targets.Ensure accurate CRM reporting, opportunity tracking, and forecasting.Monitor pipeline health, identify gaps, and take corrective action where needed.Maintain strong discipline in prospecting, follow-up, and opportunity management.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geosciences, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.Minimum 5 years of progressive sales and business development experience, including significant experience within the rail industry.Demonstrated success in new business development, territory growth, and complex technical sales.Well-established relationships across the rail sector, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and navigate complex organizations.Experience developing account strategies that drive both short-term wins and long-term growth.Strong consultative selling skills, including pipeline development, opportunity qualification, and management of complex sales cycles.Experience preparing proposals, coordinating quotations, and presenting value-based solutions.Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms.Experience collaborating cross-functionally with operations, finance, product, and customer support teams.Willingness and ability to travel as required within the assigned territory.Skills & CompetenciesStrong industry presence and professional network within the rail sectorProven ability to acquire new customers and grow market shareAbility to influence senior decision-makers and build long-term strategic partnershipsStrong negotiation and closing skillsStrategic territory planning and account prioritizationExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to understand technical applications and translate them into customer valueHigh level of commercial judgment and customer focusStrong organizational skills and follow-up disciplineAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong CRM discipline and forecasting accuracySelf-motivated, proactive, and results-orientedCollaborative team player with a high degree of professionalismWhy Join UsThis is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding Eddyfi's presence in the rail market across North America.
