Clinical Nurse - Days and Nights - Flexible Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position.

Location: Juneau, AK

Must be willing to work both day and night shifts as necessary.

The Clinical Nurse coordinates and performs a variety of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages, requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments. The role involves independent decision-making and accountability for all nursing actions taken in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Implement safe, therapeutic, and efficient care for patients, promoting healing and optimal health.
• Perform nursing assessments and document findings including patient history and health status.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, adhering to established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health conditions, procedures, and care plans.
• React calmly and effectively in emergent situations within the clinical setting.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• One year of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
• Ability to float between Med/Surg, ED, and ICU as required.
• Flu vaccine required.
