About National Facility Contractors

National Facility Contractors (NFC) is a nationwide facilities services provider specializing in planned maintenance, facility management, landscaping, snow and ice management, and construction-related services.

We support commercial clients across multiple geographic markets by delivering dependable service solutions through an extensive network of subcontractors and service providers.

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Sourcing Manager – Planned Maintenance to lead our national subcontractor sourcing operations, strengthen vendor relationships, expand service coverage, and ensure our vendor network is prepared to meet client commitments.

Position Overview

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing NFC's national

subcontractor network supporting planned maintenance operations.

This is a hands-on operational leadership position requiring strong experience in subcontractor sourcing, vendor management, capacity planning, contract negotiations, compliance, and team performance.

The successful candidate will take ownership of vendor network readiness, proactively identify coverage gaps, improve sourcing efficiency, and ensure subcontractor resources are available to support ongoing maintenance programs, seasonal demands, and new business opportunities.

This is not a traditional purchasing or administrative procurement role. We are seeking a leader who understands how to build, manage, and hold a nationwide subcontractor network accountable for operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Network Development & Sourcing

  • Develop and execute national sourcing strategies supporting planned maintenance operations and geographic expansion.
  • Identify, recruit, qualify, and onboard subcontractors across multiple service categories and geographic markets.
  • Maintain adequate vendor coverage, capacity, and readiness to meet client service requirements.
  • Proactively identify service coverage gaps, vendor shortages, and operational risks.
  • Develop contingency sourcing plans for seasonal demands, emergency services, and new client implementations.

Vendor Management & Accountability

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with subcontractors and service providers.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing, service expectations, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Establish vendor performance standards, scorecards, and accountability measures.
  • Monitor vendor responsiveness, service quality, reliability, and operational performance.
  • Address vendor performance deficiencies and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensure subcontractors maintain required insurance, licenses, certifications, W-9 forms, and service agreements.

Operational Planning & Execution

  • Partner with Operations and Account Management to forecast vendor needs and service capacity.
  • Coordinate sourcing priorities to support recurring maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and other facility services.
  • Ensure subcontractor resources are available for new account launches, market expansions, and operational transitions.
  • Resolve sourcing challenges that could impact service delivery or customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sourcing pipelines, vendor activation timelines, and market readiness.

Leadership & Performance Management

  • Supervise, coach, and develop sourcing team members as assigned.
  • Establish measurable sourcing goals, productivity standards, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor sourcing KPIs, onboarding completion, vendor coverage, and team productivity.
  • Improve sourcing processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Promote accountability, responsiveness, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in subcontractor sourcing, vendor management, procurement, or service-provider network operations.
  • Direct experience building or managing subcontractor networks across multiple geographic markets.
  • Experience supporting facilities maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, construction services, or related field-service operations.
  • Strong understanding of vendor capacity planning, service coverage, and operational readiness.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate vendor pricing, agreements, and service expectations.
  • Experience monitoring vendor performance and addressing service delivery deficiencies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and vendor management databases.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using KPIs, performance metrics, and operational reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing nationwide or multi-state subcontractor networks.
  • Previous leadership experience overseeing sourcing, procurement, or vendor management teams.
  • Background in integrated facilities management or recurring planned maintenance programs.
  • Experience developing vendor scorecards, sourcing dashboards, and standardized sourcing processes.
  • Demonstrated success improving vendor coverage, onboarding efficiency, service quality, and sourcing performance.

The successful Sourcing Manager will demonstrate measurable results through:

  • Strong subcontractor coverage across assigned geographic markets.

  • High levels of vendor compliance and service quality.
