Job Title: RN - Progressive Care Unit Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 18 months PCU RN experience preferred License: Must possess a current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Critical care drip management experience - General PCU skill set including stroke care and cardiac rhythm interpretation - Competence in trach care and management, PIV starts, chest tube management, and drain/tube management Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Progressive Care. The ideal candidate will have the skills necessary to provide care for patients with conditions such as stroke, heart failure, chest pain, and respiratory illnesses. Patient ratios will be 1:3-4 for RNs and 1:5-6 for CNAs. The position involves managing critical care drips including insulin and nitroglycerin. Candidates must be adept in assessing and monitoring patient conditions, providing appropriate interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Experience with various patient care technologies is required, including electronic medical records and IV pumps. Traveling among multiple facilities may be necessary as per staffing needs. Weekend rotations and holiday expectations are in place, with travelers working 75% of holidays.
