Facility Maintenance Specialist A brief overview: The Facility Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the administration of Safelite’s facility maintenance software system (ServiceChannel) and managing associated work orders for the assigned region. The role presents an opportunity to deliver excellent customer service and support field leadership in identifying problems, developing sustainable solutions, and executing Safelite’s maintenance processes. What you will do Support Field Operations by overseeing ServiceChannel work orders through initiation, tracking, coordination, proposal review, cost approvals, and invoicing. Provide regular status updates to leadership. Partner with Safelite maintenance leadership, internal and external project consultants, and service providers to administer preventive and reactive maintenance programs. Act as liaison with leadership and vendors to minimize store or business interruption. Offer guidance and recommendations to field partners and approvers on maintenance project scopes, facilitate escalations, and recommend solutions to optimize resources and costs. Review and monitor maintenance activities to ensure quality, control costs, accelerate resolution, challenge cost proposals when needed, implement best practices, and negotiate repair responsibility with landlords. Administer and troubleshoot the ServiceChannel system, providing recommendations to Safelite maintenance leadership on system usage and maintenance processes. Support Safelite sustainability, asset management, and facility condition programs. Visit sites to evaluate conditions and identify potential repair and maintenance needs. Provide leadership with data analytics and tracking to support retail, supply chain, and HQ organizations; develop and maintain cost summaries of all maintenance work and review them with leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. What you will need High School Diploma (required). Bachelor’s Degree (preferred). 1–3 years of experience working in a customer‑service oriented, multi‑faceted environment (required). 1–3 years of facility maintenance experience or property management involvement (preferred). Ability to manage detailed data and processes in a high‑volume setting. Technologically proficient, including experience using computer‑based software systems. Strong interpersonal and remote communication skills with a positive communication style. Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail. Proactive problem‑solving ability. Ability to travel occasionally (up to 30%). Expected Work Location (In Office) Work will be performed primarily at the Safelite Home Office: 7400 Safelite Way, Columbus, OH 43235.
