A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator directs the overall operations of the care community in accordance with current local, state and federal regulations governing long-term care in order to ensure the highest level of quality care is provided to each resident. Position responsibilities for an LNHA include: guiding care community according to local, state and federal regulations, hiring, terminating, evaluating and disciplining all personnel according to HCF policy, reviewing monthly financial statements to ensure efficiency, effectively communicating with residents, families, staff, visitors and vendors, ensuring that care community and surrounding grounds are kept in good repair, ensuring that adequate staffing is maintained according to state and federal regulations, directing the QA process, touring the building, including all resident rooms, halls, support departments, a minimum of three times per day, maintaining professional competence and keeping abreast of changes in the long-term care profession, delegating administrative authority, responsibility and accountability to other personnel as deemed necessary to ensure performance of all assigned staff positions, and assisting in developing outside customer relations while building care community census.

Knowledge, skills and abilities: Must hold a four year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Must be a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in good standing.
