Ideal candidates for this position will have experience or credentials in one or more of the following areas:
- Current or eligible licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- SLP-CCC certification or a strong background supporting supervision for Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) candidates
- Direct experience within school environments or comparable pediatric settings
- Teletherapy proficiency is a plus, offering flexibility and the ability to serve students in both virtual and in-person formats
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing, identifying, and treating students with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and/or swallowing disorders
- Developing individualized therapy plans and setting measurable goals tailored to each student's needs
- Conducting individual and group therapy sessions, adjusting methods as necessary
- Maintaining accurate and timely records to support IEP meetings and documentation requirements
- Collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure integrated support strategies
- Providing guidance to support staff or SLP-CFYs as needed
