Staff Accountant

Howe, IN (On‑Site) $70,000–$90,000 Salary Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Launch Your Accounting Career with a Growing Agricultural Organization Our client is a respected and growing agricultural company with operations across multiple states. They are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant who is eager to build a long‑term career in accounting and finance. What You'll Do General Accounting Record daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Prepare and post journal entries Assist with general ledger maintenance and reconciliations Review accounts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies Support month‑end accounting processes Accounts Payable & Receivable Process AP and AR transactions Verify invoice accuracy and coding Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations Financial Reporting & Analysis Assist with financial statement preparation Support budgeting and forecasting activities Enter and maintain budget data within accounting systems Help analyze financial data and business performance Audit & Compliance Assist with year‑end audit preparation Support accounting projects and reporting requirements Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Additional Responsibilities Provide support to payroll and accounting functions as needed Collaborate with team members across departments Assist with process improvements and special projects Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field Experience 0–5 years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or related experience Internship experience is highly valued Recent graduates are encouraged to apply Technical Skills Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Exposure to QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus Basic understanding of accounting principles Key Traits Strong work ethic and willingness to learn High attention to detail Strong organizational and time‑management skills Ability to work both independently and within a team Positive attitude and professional communication skills Interest in building a long‑term career with a growing organization Why Consider This Opportunity?
