The right individual will have 3+ years of experience leading & managing a team in a manufacturing environment, and will ensure that safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are achieved, while meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals.In addition, the individual in this role will be responsible for creating a culture based on integrity, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration that will enhance the department's ability to attract, develop, and retail top talent. The Production Supervisor is responsible for all people leadership and management aspects of the department, including the interviewing and selection of talent and all components of performance management.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDrive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequenceMonitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutionsPlan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignmentCreate, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.Knowledge of all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it's up to date and accurateTroubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvementAccurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in timely manner.Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties.Self-motivated with results-driven approach.Ability to prioritize workload.Effective verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skillsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree preferred or relevant manufacturing experience requiredHigh School diploma or equivalent required5+ years' experience with a minimum 3 years' experience working in a supervisory position.Strong Background in manufacturingProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required, with some knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint.EnvironmentExposure to moving equipmentInside workHeat may exceed 90 degrees FahrenheitHumidity may exceed 80%Noise may exceed 85dB+Physical CharacteristicsFrequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75%Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs.)Frequent typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice- assisted as needed.Diversity and InclusionWe believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to Pregis.
