CDL DriversAt Foundation Building Materials (FBM), our CDL Drivers are essential—delivering materials safely, efficiently, and with pride. Enjoy local routes, daily home time, competitive pay, and a supportive culture built on safety and respect.Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle OperationSafely operates company vehicles, including up to 26' trucks, in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service.Additional training such as Forklift, and other specified equipment may be required.Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment.Delivery & Customer ServiceUnload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips.Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously, always representing the company positively.The ability to unload, protect, move and stage materials as specified by customer directive.Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials.SafetyAdheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.Use proper lifting techniques.Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing.CommunicationMust attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company.Training RequirementsAttend and participate in all required company training programs.Physical Job RequirementsFrequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation.Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day.Occasionally lift and/or move 80 lbs. and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs.Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Some functions may be performed as a team.Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles and must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including but not limited to: dollies, flat carts, and rock cartsAdditional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned.MiscellaneousSupport our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsPossess valid Class A or Class B CDL.Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience.Works well in a team environment.Compensation and BenefitsThe listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
