Full Stack EngineerAt BlackRock SMA Solutions, we are client-obsessed and place user needs at the center of everything we build. This role contributes directly to the evolution of our Arya platform - a modern fintech solution supporting portfolio construction and management.As a Full Stack Engineer, you will work across our React-based web application and Python microservices architecture, leveraging AI-assisted development tools and automation frameworks to accelerate delivery and improve quality.You will operate in an agile environment with two-week sprints, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and end users to continuously enhance platform capabilities.This role is ideal for engineers who are excited to:Work across the full technology stackUtilize AI tools to accelerate developmentDrive innovation and engineering excellenceKey ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end feature development across front-end, back-end microservices, and data layersDesign and develop microservices powering investment portfolio construction and direct indexing solutionsBuild, deploy, and maintain services within a Kubernetes-based cloud environmentTroubleshoot production issues and provide support for high-availability systemsContinuously modernize platform components and adopt best-in-class technologiesLeverage AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to accelerate feature development, testing, and debugging while maintaining high engineering standardsQualificationsRequiredStrong foundation in computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, design patterns)Full stack web development experience across modern web and backend ecosystemsAt least 3 years of experience in a software engineering roleExperience in modern object-oriented programming languages (Python, Java, C#, Kotlin, Swift, etc.)Familiarity with relational databases and SQLStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environmentPreferredExperience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Windsurf/Devin, Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) is a plusExperience working in AWS or similar cloud environmentsExperience with Kubernetes and containerization
