BUS DRIVER

Job Details Job Location: Myrtle Beach - MYRTLE BEACH, SC 29577 Position Summary Under the supervision of the Sr. Program Director, the Bus Driver is responsible for driving YMCA vehicles and ensuring safe trips for the passengers. The driver will manage these functions in accordance with the mission and policies established by the administrative staff, governing committees, and Board of Directors of the YMCA. Essential Functions Daily inspection of buses to ensure they are clean and working properly Requires vision and hearing within normal range, or special accommodations made as necessary for completion of assigned tasks Ability to communicate clearly through speech and understanding of the English language Ability to walk, stand, kneel, stoop, and have manual dexterity Ability to lift a maximum of 40 pounds Ability to adapt to change quickly, work under stressful conditions on a regular basis, and have responsibility for the health and safety of others Must pass the YMCA bus driving assessment set forth from the Redwoods Insurance Group Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be necessary Performs all other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a clean driving record Must possess oral, auditory, and written communication skills appropriate for interacting with both children and adults Must have a valid Class D Driver’s License; CDL license is preferred Positive role model with strong leadership, conflict resolution, and diplomacy skills Must complete all required Redwoods trainings by their completion deadlines Child Abuse Prevention: Report any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor; follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children; report any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor; complete all child abuse prevention training as required #J-18808-Ljbffr
