Overview Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU in Elkin, NC, United States. Department: 34500 Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital - Critical Care: ICU. This is a full-time position (36 hours per week) with benefits eligible. Pay range: $30.40 - $45.60. Where You Will Work The Medical ICU is an adult 8-bed unit overseeing the care of critically ill patients (e.g., pulmonary disorders, infections, sepsis, etc.). Two-patient assignments per nursing station; cardiac telemetry monitoring. Focus on patient and family centered care including clinical, emotional, and educational support. Expectations We’re Looking For Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association ACLS are required within 6 months of hire 1-2 years RN experience preferred What You’ll Do Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
