Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous metal grinding, polishing, deburring, or metal fabrication experience preferred
- Experience using hand grinders, pneumatic tools, belt sanders, and polishing equipment
- Ability to read tape measures and basic manufacturing drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metal particles
- Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots
Job Duties:
- Grind, sand, deburr, and polish metal parts using hand grinders, belt sanders, buffers, and other finishing equipment
- Remove burrs, weld splatter, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from fabricated components
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production instructions
- Safely operate grinders, polishers, and other hand and power tools
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and report mechanical issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow production schedules and company quality standards
- Assist other departments as needed to support manufacturing operations
