You will work directly under the lead teacher to provide attentive supervision and support for children in a classroom setting. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and maintaining a nurturing and organized environment both indoors and outdoors. The assistant teacher also engages in regular communication with parents and supports behavior management to foster a positive learning space.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities
• Assist with developmentally appropriate activities and lessons
• Monitor safety and respond promptly to any hazards
• Support the lead teacher in managing the classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents about children’s progress and needs
• Assist with behavior support and conflict resolution
• Provide help during meal times and ensure sanitation standards are met
• Maintain accurate records related to classroom activities and child care

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in child care
• Strong child supervision skills
• Effective communication abilities
• Patience and ability to work well within a team
• Certified in First Aid and CPR
• Experience with classroom management
• Skills in conflict resolution
