DIET CLERK (FULL TIME)

Position Overview We are hiring immediately for full‑time Diet Clerk positions at Parkwest Medical Center (9352 Park West Boulevard, Knoxville, TN 37923). Online applications accepted only. Schedule is full time; days and hours may vary with rotating weekends. Fixed Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour. Job Summary Under the direction of the Patient Services Manager and/or Clinical Nutrition Manager, responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions, as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Distribute and collect menus. Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diet, as assigned by dietitian. Offer alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences when the patient inquires or needs additional selections. Plan regular and modified menus based on current diet manual. Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner. May be responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory, and management of human/donor milk and/or infant formula. Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies. Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and TJC. Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs. Follow facility and department infection‑control policies and procedures. Participate in facility‑wide and department performance improvement programs and on performance improvement teams to improve processes and patient care. Perform other duties as assigned.
