Shift Leader

Job Description Shift Leader at Jersey Mike’s is responsible for supporting the management team, leading the crew, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and high‑quality subs. Responsibilities Coaching staff to deliver amazing customer service; Producing high quality food; Delivering the Jersey Mike’s experience; Cash handling; Following the Learning Management System Training Program; Developing others for career growth; Enforcing policies and procedures; Participating in local and national marketing initiatives; Building sales; Maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation practices in the establishment; Being certified in all four positions of the restaurant; Effective communication; Having a sense of urgency; Expected Duties Move or transport up to 50 lbs without assistance unless a medical notation is made; Work 38–40 hours per week; Have the ability to get to and from work; Communicate with the GM/AGM/DM regarding any issues; Lead by example in terms of food quality, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean, fitted, and pressed uniform daily. Additional responsibilities include: Create food consistent with Jersey Mike’s high quality standards; Maintain a noticeably cleaner restaurant than others; Work in a fast‑paced team‑driven atmosphere; Multitask and work with a sense of urgency; Interface with customers and provide an exceptional experience; Have a strong sense of accountability and integrity; Serve as Key Holder; Perform all tasks related to opening and closing the store; Bake bread and perform all prep work; Manage and lead a crew of 2 to 5 people; Proficiently slice ingredients. Qualifications High school degree or equivalent; 1 year of quick‑service restaurant experience preferred; Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer; Serve Safe Certification – Food Handler; Must have reliable transportation; Legal & Additional Information This website is not operated by Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems.
