$85,000-$250,000+ Annual Earnings (Base + Uncapped Commission)

River Valley Marine is looking for an experienced  Marine Sales Consultant to join our Rochester team. This is an opportunity for a relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys helping customers make one of their most exciting recreational purchases while building a successful, long-term sales career.

We're not looking for someone who simply wants another sales job. We're looking for someone who understands why customers spend months researching their next boat, enjoys learning about marine products, and can connect customers with the boat that fits their lifestyle.

Successful candidates may come from  marine sales, boat sales, powersports sales, automotive sales, RV sales, luxury retail sales, equipment sales, or other high-ticket commission environments . A passion for boating and the outdoors is highly valued.

Compensation

Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

• $85,000-$250,000+ annual earning potential

Sell Premium Products to Qualified Buyers

You'll work with:

• New and pre-owned boats
• Pontoon boats
• Fishing boats
• Family recreation boats
• Wake and watersports boats
• Marine accessories and upgrades

What You’ll Do

• Sell new and pre-owned boats in a consultative sales environment
• Guide customers through the entire buying process, from the first conversation through delivery
• Build lasting customer relationships that generate repeat and referral business
• Develop and grow your own book of business through proactive outreach, referrals, relationship-building, and self-marketing
• Use Facebook, Facebook Marketplace, social media, and other digital platforms to promote inventory and connect with prospective customers
• Develop a consistent personal marketing presence that supports the River Valley brand and generates new sales opportunities
• Follow up consistently with leads, prospects, and previous customers
• Develop strong product knowledge across boats, engines, electronics, accessories, and competing brands
• Maintain an active presence within the local boating community
• Participate in boat shows, customer events, demonstrations, and dealership promotions
• Use CRM tools and dealership systems to manage customer relationships and sales opportunities
• Deliver an exceptional ownership experience that reflects the River Valley Marine brand

What We're Looking For

Required

• Proven success in commissioned or high-ticket sales
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to build trust and close business
• Self-motivated with strong follow-through
• Professional presentation and customer-focused mindset
• Ability to learn and confidently present technical product information
• Valid driver's license

Preferred

• Marine sales or boat sales experience
• Powersports sales experience
• Automotive sales experience
• RV sales experience
• Luxury retail or lifestyle product sales experience
• CRM experience
• Boating, fishing, watersports, or marina experience

Schedule

• Full-time, year-round position
• Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
• Saturdays: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
• Weekday off when working Saturday
