We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems using schematics and specialized tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment issues through electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Inspect and service tires, brakes, suspensions, alignments, HVAC systems, and power tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals and schematics for precise repairs and part replacements.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activities.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic software.
- Ability to read schematics accurately for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for equipment repair issues
- Knowledge of HVAC systems related to heavy equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
