Westside Family Healthcare is a nonprofit organization that provides high quality primary medical care. The Employee Health and Infection Prevention RN, in coordination with clinical leadership, directs Westside Family Healthcare's Employee Health activities for all Westside staff members, assuring that each team member meets health requirements, and facilitates team activities such as influenza vaccine campaigns. The Employee Health and Infection Prevention RN monitors, facilitates, trends and reports infection prevention activities for the organization. In addition, the Employee Health and Infection Prevention RN is responsible for working with individuals exposed to, at risk for, or infected with infectious diseases (including COVID-19), to provide a safe work environment.

Employee health responsibilities include collaborating with the HR team during the onboarding process, developing and communicating workplace exclusion criteria, supporting employee vaccination campaigns, serving as point of contact for sharps or other workplace injuries and exposures, facilitating Employee Wellness initiatives, and serving as point of contact for team members experiencing infectious disease symptoms or exposures.

Infection prevention responsibilities include monitoring infection prevention activities, maintaining the infection prevention dashboard, managing infection prevention policies, managing FDA recalls, and managing and updating training materials relevant to infection prevention and control.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, three years' experience as an RN in ambulatory care or comparable experience, active RN licensure in the State of Delaware with no restrictions, current BLS certification, and ability and availability to work 40 hours per week and to receive calls regarding infectious disease exposures or symptoms outside of typical work hours. Preferred qualifications include prior employee health or wellness experience and prior infection prevention experience.
